Diabetes technology includes modern Continuous Glucose Monitoring or Flash Monitoring Devices. These devices are capable of automatically recording your sugar level every 5-15 minutes and sending the result to your phone - some without any finger pricking at all! This means that you can get a continuous record of your blood sugar level 24 hours/day. Together we interpret these reports with you and show you how this remarkable technology can guide you when caring for your Diabetes.
Insulin Pump Technology is another amazing device that makes life with Diabetes so much easier. These pumps can ‘talk’ directly with your Continuous Glucose Monitor and automatically adjust how much Insulin you receive based on your sugar level. When your sugar level is dropping, your pump will intervene to try to prevent you going too low. When your sugar level is going up too high, the pump kicks in and aims to reduce the level.
